Hey Friend.

It's nice to meet ya. MY NAME IS EMILY.

A little background about my life...

I have a husband, Justin, and am a dog mom to my adorable doggos, Flash and Kalli and a lively kitty named Sami. I've lived in the DFW area for most of my life, making it very special to me. I went to college in Oklahoma and got my bachelor's in psychology before realizing I wanted to pursue photography. I came back to the metroplex to establish my adult life and my business. My favorite things in life are hanging out with the people I love, going to church, and sitting down to watch some TV after a long day!

I started my photography journey back in 2012 where I started taking photos of friends and couples I knew at church. I realized how much I love portraits and I worked constantly on improving my skills to where I started getting paid for it. I couldn't believe I was making money doing something I really loved. I photographed my first wedding for a couple I had been friends with for awhile in 2018. I was honestly so terrified, because someone was going to trust me to capture one of the biggest moments of their lives. No pressure right? But I quickly learned that despite the stress, I love being able to capture love in the details and be able to genuinely showcase someone's love story. I thrive with couples who love having fun and documenting candid moments. My professional experience includes portraits, maternity, events, sports, with my specialty being in weddings and engagements. I love what I do and I would love to share it with you!

MY photography journey

I’ve loved photography ever since I got my first camera in middle school. I’ve been an independent photographer and capturing memories since about 2015. What I love most about taking pictures, is the endless possibilities and the creative challenges it brings. It’s an abstract field that has challenged me, grown me, and taught me. It’s a field that fuses my passion for creativity and people. Being a photographer means that you get to know people and tell their stories. In my opinion, that’s the most important part. I love being able to share my passion with other people to capture memories that will last a lifetime.

I love genuinely capturing connection between two people. Couple portraiture is where I shine and love to be. There is something about letting the couples be themselves (meaning little direction/posing) that really brings their own spark to every photo, making every session I do unique and tailored to each couple. I also edit in a warm style that is flattering on everyone's skin tones, which I have worked hard to be able to say that. I edit and shoot in a way that naturally brings out beauty, love, and warmth.
